DAY 01

Arrive Bangalore

Arrive Bangalore and transfer to your hotel.
Bangalore is known as the garden city. It has many imposing structures full of historic & modern architecture. The majestic Vidhana Soudha, a magnificent post-independence structure housing the State legislature & Secretariat, stands in the centre of the city with its attractive dome & galleries.

DAY 02

Bangalore to Mysore (Surface)

Morning, you will proceed to take a tour of Bangalore city. Visit Tipu Sultan Palace; the layout of the palace gives the idea of the ethnic Mughal lifestyle. The fort & its remains present the history of the era in which it was built. Also visit ISKCON Temple and next, visit the Lal Bagh Garden.
Later drive back to your hotel, check-out and drive to Mysore (135 Km / 3 hrs). En route visit Srirangapatna - the 18th century Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan. On arrival, check-in at your hotel
Evening visit the Devraja flower market.

DAY 03

In Mysore

Morning, visit the major tourist attractions of Mysore - Maharaja Palace, Chamundi Hill, Brindavan Gardens, dancing musical fountains on the terraces of Krishnarajasagar Dam.

DAY 04

Mysore to Ooty (Surface)

Morning drive to Ooty (150 Km / 03 Hr), queen of hill stations & the capital of Nilgiri district, it is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. En-route visit Bandipur and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuaries. Ooty is a land of picturesque picnic spots. It was a very popular summer & weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days.
An added attraction for the tourists is the mountain train journey on a ratchet & pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam, winds its way through many hair-raising curves, fearful tunnels as it chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams & tea gardens. On arrival transfer to hotel.
Afternoon, half day sightseeing tour to Botanical Garden, Fernhill Place -an erstwhile summer palace of Maharaja of Mysore and St. Stephen Church. One can see the best profiles of nature, each embedded with a distinctive grandeur. It's the majestic waterfalls, never-ending forests, beautiful tea gardens, lush green meadows, placid lake and manicured golf courses that are really spellbinding.

DAY 05

Ooty to Kochi (Surface)

Morning drive to Kochi (380 Km / 8Hr). It always had a very popular & historical sea trade connection with the Middle East, Mediterranean Europe, Dutch & the British. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel.
In the evening see a Kathakali Dance performance. The extremely stylized gestures, the elaborate make-up, the masks and the splendid costumes of these all-male dancers, recreats an incomparable sense of pageantry.

DAY 06

Kochi to Alleppey (Surface)

Morning, sightseeing tour of Kochi city visiting Fort Kochi (70 Km / 1½ Hrs), The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry which is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town. The St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India . The Santa Cruz Basilica, originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese. The Chinese fishing nets, cantilevered fishing nets believed to have been brought to Kochi by Chinese traders.
Later drive to Alleppey, known as 'Venice of the East,' this region is famous for its beautiful backwaters & village life revolving around the banks of these backwaters. On arrival board the houseboat, locally called Kettuvallam, cruise around backwaters of Alleppey to Kumarakom to observe & experience the daily life of the villagers along the backwaters.

DAY 07

Arrive Kumarakom

Morning disembark at Kumarakom. Afternoon you will proceed for Kumarakom, known for its backwaters, huge Vembanad Lake & the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. There are two seasons for birds: between October & February there are cormorants, teals, & other ducks & from February to July there are darters (snake birds), night herons, egrets, & Siberian storks. It also has golden backed woodpecker, crow pheasant, white-breasted water hen, tree pie etc.

DAY 08

Kumarakom to Kovalam (Surface)

After breakfast, we will drive to Kovalam (160 Km / 4 Hr). This sleepy town suddenly came on the tourist map when its fabulous beaches were discovered. Today Kovalam has become one of the most popular beach hangouts in India. There are two main beaches at Kovalam separated by a high cliff. It is finding a new significance in the light of several Ayurvedic salons, recuperation & regeneration resorts which provide a slew of Ayurvedic treatments.

Full day is for leisure activities on the beach. Explore water sports / Ayurvedic salons on your own.

DAY 10

In Kovalam

Morning , drive to Trivandrum, an ancient city with trading traditions dating back to 1000 BC. Arrive and check in at your hotel. Later in the day, go for a sightseeing tour of Sri Chittira Art Gallery an excellent collection of Indian art with examples from early to modern schools. Paintings by Raja Ravi Varma & works from Mughal & Rajput miniature paintings & Tanjore paintings embellished with semi- precious stones are displayed. Next, visit Thiruvananthapuram covering Museum Complex, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Science & Technology Museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat club and Shangmugham Beach.

Kovalam to Trivandrum Airport

Morning at leisure. In time transfer to Trivandrum Airport (16 Km / 30 Mins) to board flight for home.
