Jewels of South is a 7 Days tour that offers travelers a luxury experience while exploring the cultural heritage and topographical diversity in different cities of the Southern Indian states Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The journey commences in Bangalore and takes you to Mysore where you explore the majestic Mysore Palace before heading to the UNESCO world heritage site of Hampi followed by Tamil Nadu, where you explore the beautiful temples and mansions in Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, and Chettinad. As the train reaches Kerala, one can explore colonial city Fort Kochi and enjoy cruising on Kerala backwater in Kumarakom. Arrive Bengaluru & Depart to Mysore
Arrive at Bangaluru - Yeshwantpur Railway Station around 0900 hrs. Proceed to Mysore after welcome and registration. Lunch shall be served onboard. Arrive Mysore Railway Station and proceed to visit the Mysore Palace at around 1500 hrs. Return to the train for dinner. Train departs for Hampi.Overnight on board.
DAY 02
Arrive Hampi
After onboard breakfast, proceed to visit the capital of Vijaynagara kingdom – Hampi. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the ruins tell a tale of opulence and grandeur. Return to train for lunch. Evening optional excursion to Anegundi. Dinner shall be served onboard as train proceeds to Mahabalipuram.Overnight on board.
DAY 03
Mahabalipuram
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast onboard as the train arrives into Chengalpattu Railway Station. Proceed to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site – Shore Temple. Followed by lunch at an exclusive venue. Return to the train for dinner as the train proceeds to Thanjavur.Overnight on board.
DAY 04
Thanjavur and Chettinad
After onboard breakfast, proceed to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Brihadeshvara Temple. Return to train and lunch shall be served onboard as the train proceeds to Chettinad. In the evening proceed to visit the Athnagudi tile factory followed by visit to Chettinadu mansions. Dinner shall be served onboard as the train proceeds to Kochi.Overnight on board.
DAY 05
Arrive Kochi
After onboard breakfast, proceed to visit the Matancherry Palace in Fort Kochi area after which witness some of the best kept dance forms of Kerala at an exclusive venue. Return to the train for lunch. Optional excursion to Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church. Enjoy an India evening onboard followed by dinner as it departs to Kumarakom.Overnight on board.
DAY 06
Kumarakom
After onboard breakfast proceed for a cruise on the backwaters followed by lunch at an exclusive venue. Return to the train as it proceeds to Bengaluru and dinner shall be served onboard.Overnight on board.
DAY 07
Arrive Bengaluru
Breakfast shall be served onboard as the train arrives in Bengaluru.Tour Map
